Blog Entry # 3

The problem Ali had faced in this book was when sissy started to come around more her aunts moods would change really fast. Emma had wanted friends so she would be a follower and not a leader and get herself into trouble. Ali doesnt feel right she hates sissy sissy was so mean and rude to her and thought she is all that. Along will She wanted to go home because every little thing that happened if it was bad Dulcie would blame Ali and make Ali want to cry.

What is happening from the main character's point of view so far, is she has been to the grave sight of sissy and found out her real name. She is very scared, and shocked and thinks she should tell Aunt Dulcie before anyone gets hurt.

A quote from the book that shows something interesting about sissy is "her white-blond hair waving in the wind, she is so pale like she has never been outside before," and so on. I can imagine this because the quote paints a picture in my head, a girl standing by a lake in front of two other girls with the wind blowing her white-blond hair into her face while she is only wearing a swim suit on such a cold day.

Setting

The setting for Deep And Dark And Dangerous is in Maine pouring down rain and the lake sends shivers up my spine because of just the way it looks so deep dark and cold not knowing were  it ends to the bottom or whats at the bottem. The cabin was surrounded by a bunch of diffrent kind of tall green pine fresh small of trees.

Author Biography

 The brilliant author of this book is Mary Downing Hahn. She has written other books such as

1. "Old Willis Place "
2. " The Doll In The Garden"
3. " Time For Andrew"

These books are all very good . She has two fully growwn daughters and also she has won prizes for here award winnings for her books she has written.  She lives in Maryland Cloumbia with her husband.
